Following a foundation course at St Martin's College of Art in London, Clare graduated with a fine art degree from Newcastle University. Since then she has established herself as a successful children's artist with a studio in Parsons Green, London. She has taken part in numerous group exhibitions as well as having had several solo shows.
The subject matter of Clare's children's art consists primarily of sights of London, topographical views of houses and portraits of animals. Ormerod animals are simple, distinctive and full of character. In particular, Clare's fascination for both dogs and birds has won her a huge following already. Her ‘A-Z' and ‘Numbers' prints have been designed exclusively for Porcupine Prints.
