Inspired by humour and strong narrative, Kate's greatest influences as a Roald Dahl and A.A Milne, ‘genius authors who can stimulate the imagination of great artists such as Quentin Blake and E.H Shephard'. Self-trained, she comes from an artistic background and from a young age has enjoyed writing and illustrating children's books. Kate has designed greetings cards for her brother's company, and has worked as an art buyer for an interior design company. Since the birth of her son, Myles she has been focusing on expanding her range of illustrations for children. Kate's series of images are a wonderful introduction into the whimsical, whacky world that her characters inhabit- a world with pirhouetting pigs & gilet-wearing dachshunds. Children could not fail to fall in love with her charming characters.
